UUM OPEN CHANNEL

Universiti Utara Malaysia Open Channel is the new route for admission of students into Bachelor Degree programmes.

Through this channel, qualified students have the opportunity to enrol in internationally accredited academic programmes offered by our faculties.

UUM Open Channel

The Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) Open Channel is a programme that is available through a separate commercial channel, in addition to the UPU Prime Channel. This provides an alternative avenue for recruiting students for the bachelor study programme at UUM. Student recruitment through the OPEN CHANNEL is exclusively available to Malaysian students who meet the specified eligibility criteria and is subject to the availability of programme spots.

All study programmes offered through the OPEN CHANNEL are self-funded programmes without any financial assistance or tuition waivers. Thus, potential OPEN CHANNEL/OPEN CHANNEL students are required to submit the FULL FEE prior to enrolling for their studies.

It is important for applicants to have a clear understanding of the admission requirements and the associated costs before proceeding with their application or accepting an offer.

What is theDIFFERENCE:Open Channel vs UPU?

For Open Channel TUITION FEES, students have to pay FULL TUITION FEES WITHOUT GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY. For example; for the Bachelor of Accounting Program (with Honours), students need to pay a Tuition Fee of RM5,000 / per semester. In addition, students have to pay the Registration Fee (Only Semester 1) and Service Fee and Dormitory Fee for each semester. For UPU candidates, they will receive fee subsidy payments that will be given by the Malaysian government based on certain programs.

Entry Requirements

SYARAT AM KEMASUKAN

Memiliki Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/Setaraf dengan mendapat kepujian (GRED C) dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia atau kepujian (GRED C) Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia Kertas Julai dan lulus dalam mata pelajaran Sejarah (SPM 2013 dan ke atas) dalam peperiksaan SPM;

dan

Lulus Peperiksaan Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) dengan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya PNGK 2.00 dan mendapat sekurang-kurangnya:

  • Gred C (NGMP 2.00) mata pelajaran Pengajian Am;

  • Gred C (NGMP 2.00) dalam dua (2) mata pelajaran lain

dan

Mendapat sekurang-kurangnya Tahap 1 (Band 1) dalam Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
